Bobby Jackson, Stockton Kings head coach and former Sacramento King, joins 76ers coaching staff
Long-time Sacramento Kings alum Bobby Jackson announced Sunday he would be joining the coaching staff for the Philadephia 76ers.
Jackson is the current Stockton Kings head coach and a former Sacramento Kings.
The 12-year NBA vet has been the coach of the Kings G league affiliate in Stockton, where he led his team to a 25-7 record and the No. 1 seed in the postseason this past year.
Jackson won the sixth Man of the Year award in 2003, where he averaged 15 points and three rebounds off the Kings' bench. He retired from playing in 2009 and went on to become an assistant coach with the Kings from 2011 to 2013.
Jackson will likely work with the young guards on the Sixers roster in order to help them continue to develop.
Meanwhile, the Stockton Kings will have to hire a new head coach.
