Stephen Jackson - By the Numbers

Stephen Jackson rejoined the Spurs on Thursday, March 15 in a trade with the Golden State Warriors.  Jackson spent two seasons (2001-03) with the Silver and Black and was a member of the Spurs 2003 Championship team.  During his 11-year career Jackson has had some impressive highlights, and we have broken down some of the more impressive accomplishments.

1 – Jackson has won one NBA Championship in his career when he was a member of the 2002-03 Spurs Championship roster.

1.56 – Averaged a Spurs team-best 1.56 steals per game during the 2002-03 season.

2a – Has been named Player of the Week twice … named Western Conference Player of the Week ending on 12/2/07, after averaging 23.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.50 steals as a member of the Warriors … named Eastern Conference Player of the Week ending 1/17/10 after averaging 29.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.3 steals as a member of the Bobcats.

2b – Has registered two triple-doubles in his career … finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists vs. Phoenix on 2/4/09 … posted the Bobcats first franchise triple-double with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists vs. Phoenix on 11/20/10.

3 – Jackson’s jersey number during his first stint with San Antonio.

4 – One of four players including Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili that are remaining from the 03’ Championship team.

5 – Connected on five three-pointers in two different playoff games during the 2003 Championship run at Dallas on 5/29/03 and at Phoenix on 5/1/03

6 – Scored 20-or-more points in six games during the 03’ Championship run.

8 – Scored 20-or-more points eight times in 2002-03.

12.8 – His Spurs playoff scoring average in 2002-03.

15 – Handed out a career-high 15 assists vs. Minnesota on 11/9/09

20.7 – Averaged a career-high 20.7 points in 2008-09, while playing with the Golden State Warriors.

24 – Started all 24 games in the Spurs 2003 Championship run.

28 – Scored his Spurs season-high 28 points vs. Los Angeles Lakers on 11/20/02.

33 – Scored a playoff career-high of 33 points vs. Dallas on 5/3/07

43– Scored his career-high of 43 points vs. Houston on 1/12/10.

48 – The amount of times he scored in double figures in a Spurs uniform.

58 – Made 58 regular season starts for San Antonio.
